While I won't pretend to know all the dirty details behind porting Xbox 360/PS3 to the PC, and I do realize that working with a closed system has some distinct optimization advantages, it's pretty hard to swallow that the PC version of Assassin's Creed needs 2GB of RAM and 256MB of VRAM to do what the consoles did with 512MB total for both.

Expected to attract major IT projects with huge investments, it comes at a time when the city is all set to launch its twin projects Information Technology Park and Technology Habitat spread over an area of about 600 acre. Besides this, the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status for IT in Chandigarh has already been approved by the Union Government. The establishment of SEZ is likely to lead to private sector investment and foreign direct investment (FDI), besides attracting investible surplus capital to this region. It is also expected to encourage public-private partnership in infrastructure and industry. Chandigarh's IT Director Vivek Atray says the conference is going to be a huge success with over 250 registrations. "The booking is full. There will not be any spot registration," he says.

As we have seen last week, levels are not important at such a time. The screen, which was only reflecting greed these last few months, is flashing fear. Trading is generally tough at such junctures. Contrarian long trades or aggressive shorts could both go horribly wrong. Don't bet your house on the market now, it would be imprudent. Another buying opportunity is coming, just that there is no way of knowing if the floor was hit on Friday, whether it is 5600 or whether we will plunge to 5000 again. Let the market decide that. For us, it's time to shed our green eyeshades, smell the coffee and get back to the fundamentals. There may be bargains in many mid-caps this week.

"We looked at a lot of different options," Boehner told reporters, adding that the threesome reached "no conclusions or agreements." He said it would "require a great leap of faith" from both parties to find common ground. Senior lawmakers in both parties met on Tuesday with President Bush, who has proposed a stimulus plan worth about $150 billion.
