THE acquisitive Industry Superannuation Property Trust is among the parties lining up to buy troubled Centro Properties' $2 billion Australian wholesale fund, industry sources say. Centro (cnp.ASX:Quote,News) , whose share price collapsed after a $3.9 billion funding shortfall emerged late last year, opened an internet ``data room'' yesterday, as the carve-up of the group began in earnest. Centro is offering a variety of options in its sell-off, including a half share in the $4.8 billion Centro Australia Wholesale Fund and its 45 per cent stake in the $1.2 billion Centro America Fund. The third option in the Centro carve-up is the sale of the entire group. General Electric has been flagged as a potential buyer for the whole group, as has US private equity group Blackstone.
